Announcing User Group 2006!

You are personally invited to join Gateway Ticketing Systems and Burroughs & Chapin at User Group 2006.  Hosted in Myrtle Beach, this year's User Group explores the many new solutions and functionalities Galaxy has to offer in revenue management and admission control. We hope you join us for this interactive and fun User Group 2006 meeting!

User Group 2006 has been extended to encourage increased user interaction and participation! A two-track system supports the different needs and interests of our Transportation and Attraction users.

Attraction presentations and round table discussions will begin Monday, May 1st. Transportation users will be holding their annual TASA meeting on May 1st, followed by Transportation Phase 1 Functional Delivery presentations on May 2nd and May 3rd. Transportation users are welcome to join the Attraction users for the remainder of the week concluding on May 5th.

Galaxy Learning Lab

Back by popular demand, the Galaxy Learning Lab will provide hands-on access to the latest and greatest Galaxy features. This year’s learning lab will feature new hardware, including the Skidata Stored Value RFID wristband solution, scanning at Point of Sale, and guest services features. Take a behind-the-scenes look at maintaining sales programs for eGalaxy Web Store and Galaxy Kiosk. System specialists will be standing by to answer questions and provide system demonstrations.

Phase 1 Functional Deliveries:

The Functional Deliveries include what will be completed and ready for demonstration in Phase 1. As the transportation module moves closer to completion, demonstration copies of the software will be created and distributed for review. Features to be presented include:

-Support schedule quotation.
-Ability to quote fares with point to point and mileage calculations.
-Enhance journal to support transportation transactions.
-Support transportation specific coupons.

 

Point of Sale/Guest Services

Galaxy 3 introduced many new enhancements to help track your day-to-day operations. The POS and Guest Services presentations focus on tracking the history of tickets through the Ticket Upgrade, Ticket Lookup, and Transaction Lookup functions. Did you know you can reprint and return tickets through Ticket Lookup?  Would you like to quickly exchange tickets for passes or transfer an event ticket to a new time and date with fewer keystrokes?  All of these topics and more will find their way into this half day of presentations.

Wednesday, May 3rd
