Three Easy Steps to
Improve Revenue Department Efficiency
The Galaxy Admission Control system is a ticket and
pass validation system that integrates with Galaxy Ticketing
Point of Sale. The flexible system design provides a
wide range of features such as full on-line validation,
revenue management, tracking of admission statistics.
The ability to combine sales data directly from Galaxy Ticketing Point
of Sale with access data from entrance and exit points provides management
and operations with timely ticket and pass usage information, along with
increased security through real-time validation.

1. Import
Tickets. Tickets sold on Gateway's TX3280 point
of sale system are transformed to coupon segments
through the TX3280 coupon export process. This
coupon export provides such information as
coupon origin, destination, miles, and value.
This file easily imports into the Bus Guide
Lift System database through the Import Coupons
options.
What about coupons not included in the import file? These coupons
can still be entered manually during the coupon batch entry process. |
2. Scan
Tickets. Enter the trip number, trip date,
and driver name, and you're ready to scan coupons.
Those coupons having a valid TASA bar code
and having been imported into the database
can be scanned. All other tickets are manually
entered with minimal effort. Since most coupons
are scanned, data entry time is significantly
reduced. Bus Guide Lift allows multiple users
to scan coupons simultaneously. |
3. Report.
This is Bus Guide Lift's most powerful feature.
Obtain passenger counts, passenger revenue,
revenue per passenger, and revenue per trip
miles all on one report. This information can
be for all trips, one trip, or trips with common
origins and/or destinations. Other information
such as interline reclaim revenue, recognized
revenue (lifted coupons), and expected revenue
(unlifted coupons) is also available. Since
MicrosoftT SQL Server is used as the database,
third party report packages allow you to create
your own reports. |
