Gilbertsville, PA (February 28, 2022) – Gateway Ticketing Systems® and WhiteWater® are teaming up to deliver a special webinar in honor of International Women’s Day 2022: #BreakTheBias – How to Forge a Gender Equal Workplace. The webinar will take place on Wednesday, March 9 at 12 PM EST.
“We want to amplify discussions around how people can support and be allies for women in the workplace,” says Alicia Huppman, Senior Manager of Human Resources at Gateway Ticketing Systems. “These important conversations around addressing our overt and underlying biases need to happen more regularly and need to be featured more prominently in our industry.”
Alicia continues: “We’re proud to partner with WhiteWater on this initiative for the second year in a row as the core values of their organization and employees align well with ours.”
Gateway and WhiteWater worked together to bring industry leaders to the table to discuss the important topics impacting the attractions industry today. They’ll be discussing addressing hiring bias, implementing bias training and increasing access to employment opportunities in order to create a diverse, equitable and inclusive attractions industry workplace where difference is valued and celebrated. The panelists will share their personal experiences and give practical recommendations and advice to women and their allies about navigating a path in the world of careers, life and family.
Once again, the session will be moderated by Una de Boer, Chief Marketing Officer at WhiteWater, the leading global designer & manufacturer of award-winning attractions from water slides to water rides. Panelists will include: Adrea Gibbs, Senior Director, Core Services, Attractions Operations at Meow Wolf; Leena Devlin, Manager, Product Deployment at Gateway Ticketing Systems; Michael Jungen: Global Vice President, CX Solutions Technology at Aristocrat Technologies Inc.; Sharon Parker, Director of Marketing & Sales at Six Flags Over Texas/Hurricane Harbor.
Says Una de Boer, the moderator of the session: “Thanks go to Gateway for hosting this session and bringing these conversation to the forefront. Organizations prosper when bias is acknowledged and addressed so that talent can be developed and a variety of voices can be heard; so how do we remove bias and barriers and encourage greater workplace and leadership equity? This panel has great practical insights to share and help us do just that. I’m looking forward to hearing what they say!”
The webinar is titled: #BreakTheBias – How to Forge a Gender Equal Workplace. It will be held on Wednesday, March 9 at 12 PM EST. And it’s not only for the women in our industry. All are encouraged to join and #BreakTheBias for #IWD2022.
