Work Smarter, Not Harder
Galaxy Connect allows OTAs to sell real-time tickets for attractions. Here’s a breakdown of the process. The OTA pulls products along with their real-time availability and pricing through an Application Programming Interface (API). Then, the OTA sends ticket booking requests through Galaxy Connect to the attraction. The attraction processes this request, creates the requested number of tickets within Galaxy, and then sends the tickets to the OTA. Finally, the OTA generates and delivers the tickets to customers. This entire process takes seconds. Guests get real-time tickets via mobile delivery or print at home options.
A Step Ahead
GTS launched Galaxy Connect in 2016. Prior to that, if Galaxy users wanted to sell through OTAs, they would have to use vouchers which guests would need to exchange for a ticket on site at the time of their visit. This cumbersome process kept attractions from knowing how many tickets were sold definitively on their behalf via OTAs.
With the facilitation Galaxy Connect provides, attractions receive payment for ticket sales independent of guest attendance. This same feature allows attractions to use a dynamic pricing model, if desired. Hence, Galaxy Connect provides attractions with superior regulation over many aspects of OTA sales.
Track Your Inventory and Value
Attractions remain in control of the availability and pricing of tickets on OTA sites. They can block out periods, such as high traffic times, during which OTAs are prohibited from selling their tickets. Attractions control this within Galaxy, and then OTAs pull that information through Galaxy Connect. Real-time ticket availability and pricing are displayed on OTA sites, always.
