From the industry's best ticketing system to unified food & beverage and retail operations, Gateway offers world-class solutions to increase revenue.
Fundamentals Training for Galaxy marked a major milestone this May with its 10th session, held during the first week of the month at Gateway Ticketing Systems® headquarters in Gilbertsville, Pa. Introduced in 2024, this immersive 40-hour course is offered quarterly and provides Galaxy users of all experience levels with a comprehensive understanding of the platform’s full capabilities.
Participants develop a solid foundation in core configurations and best practices for maximizing system performance, while also gaining the expertise needed to create meaningful, data-driven reports. Hosted on campus, the program offers a focused and engaging in-person learning experience.
“It’s rare to go to an organization’s home office and have such a warm welcome,” Jason Sherron, Membership Manager at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens in Palm Desert, Calif., said. “Gateway was a great host.”
The May session, led by GTS Senior Instructor Ben Bogart, welcomed 10 attendees representing both GTS partners and employees. The group included everyone from first-time users to seasoned professionals.
“My favorite part this time was the people. We had a good mix of people from Gateway and customer sites and a good mix of experience levels,” Bogart said. “It was very fun to share knowledge and work with all of them.”
A hallmark of the training is its hands-on, real-world approach. Participants engage directly with the system in a realistic setting, ensuring they not only learn key concepts but also retain and confidently apply them. The course also prioritizes personalized guidance, providing dedicated opportunities for one-on-one instruction alongside valuable collaboration with fellow Galaxy users. “I want them to leave feeling like they have more control over their own system and can make changes to improve their ticketing processes,” Bogart commented.
After completing the course, participants receive a certificate and access to take-home lab materials for continued learning. Graduates leave equipped to strengthen their organizations as system administrators by refining operations and guiding front-line teams on the essential tools and practices needed for success.
“I’ve now opened the door to learning and utilizing the back end for myself to understand and connect what I do every day with membership,” Sherron explained. “I’m looking to continue to grow my knowledge and become more independent when operating Galaxy.”
