Old Port of Montréal Enhances Visitor Experience with Galaxy® Integration at the Montréal Science Centre

Gateway Ticketing Systems®, the global leader in ticketing solutions with more than 35 years of experience serving the attractions industry, announced the successful implementation of the Galaxy^® platform at the Montréal Science Centre, located on the Old Port of Montréal’s territory. The integration delivers a fully connected ticketing and admissions ecosystem that strengthens operations, supports long-term growth, and enhances the visitor experience at one of Canada’s most visited science attractions.

The transition replaced a highly manual legacy system that no longer supported the operational scale or digital expectations of a modern science centre. With Galaxy, the Montréal Science Centre now operates on a centralized platform that simplifies online management, streamlines workflows, and creates a seamless experience for both staff and visitors.

The project also enabled platform alignment with sister attraction CN Tower, which has been using Galaxy since 2006. Sharing a common platform strengthens operational consistency and collaboration across POS, auditing, IT, finance, and event management while standardizing best practices across properties.

Visitors are already benefiting from the transition, including a faster and more intuitive online purchasing experience that makes it easier to plan their visit. As online sales continue to grow, the Montréal Science Centre is well-positioned to meet evolving digital expectations and enhance the on-site experience.
